Incorporation of Chemical Additives in the Pulp Industry

For the manufacture of paper towels, a paper factory may add an agent to the raw cellulose materials - called an additive. An additive is a substance added in rather small amounts to another substance in order to impart or improve certain properties. In terms of paper towels, the additive may whiten, brighten or add color to the paper.

Paper factories turn to Lutz-Jesco diaphragm and piston pump products again and again because they know products with the Lutz-Jesco logo can deliver controlled quantities of such additives - hydrogen peroxide, inks or bleaches - successfully and consistently overtime.
